Position: IT Administrator
Responsibilities:
• Planning, directing, coordinating, designing ICT-related activities, as well as defining and implementing ICT policies, procedures and best practices
• Providing administrative direction and support for daily operational activities of the ICT department
• Maintaining the general computing and network infrastructure within the firm
• Managing the network infrastructure
• Creating and managing user accounts
• Monitoring performance of Information Technology systems to determine cost and productivity levels, and making recommendations for improving the IT infrastructure
• Analyzing current processes, technologies, and vendors to identify areas of improvement
• Preparing cost benefits analysis reports when upgrades are necessary
• Consistently analyzing vendors to ensure high standards of service
• Creating and reviewing policies, guidelines and procedures
• Leading the identification, evaluation, procurement and design of appropriate ICT’s that help meet the firm’s business requirements
• Creating documentation, training material and conducting user training
• Managing and attending to installation, maintenance and repair of hardware and software
• Maintaining system security, system backup and data integrity.
• Implementing electronic data archiving
• Manage the firm’s communication resources (email, video and teleconference facilities, website etc)
• Maintaining licensing and ensuring conformance and compliance to licensing requirements
• Assisting staff members with their IT needs

Strong reporting and documentation skills

Server management
Firewall monitoring and configuration
Networking (WAN, LAN, wireless)
Sound knowledge of IT Security Principles
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics or related field
• MCSA Windows Server
• CCNA
• Microsoft 365
• PCNSE (Optional)
• Linux (Optional)
Experience
3 – 5 years
